Planted
Passion renewed
Rising above ashes
Tainted with sin, you find yourself
In Bloom

Sometimes I like to get together with some friends and family and just create works of art. They also have their own pieces that i absolutely enjoy and would love to share with everyone as well. They too, are my inspiration.

Breathe,
Breathe slowly,
Let reality settle in.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Then think it over again.
Here,
He’s here,
Is he friend or foe?
Inhale,
Exhale,
I guess you never know.
She’s in pain
So much pain,
The cancer’s begun to spread.
So when He knocked,
She answered,
And calmly let him in.
But they said no
It’s not fair,
She had so much life ahead.
They cried no,
“Not Now!”
For she can’t live it if she’s dead.
Breathe,
Breathe slowly,
He’s at your door again.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Is he foe or friend?
Here,
He’s here!
I guess you never know.
Inhale…
Exhale…
Until it’s your time to go…

My hair is flowing in the wind
The water glistens on my skin
I’m nervous, but it is my time
To ride that perfect wave called life
They said the first step is the hardest
You never know unless you try.
Don’t worry about destination
Journey on, enjoy the ride.
Hanging ten in face of danger
It’s tubular alright.
And tubular’s alright.
Had my trials, tribulations
Fallen twice to accusations
Got back up, won’t be defeated
Next wave up, I can beat this
But I cannot walk on water.
Can’t seem to get it right
May be bound by limitations
But out here I can fly
Nothings short of amazing
It’s tubular alright,
Because tubular’s alright.
Keep your worries I don’t need them
While I’m searching for some freedom
So I set my sights outside
The waters fine I’ll be alright
I never said I was a hero
But I sure am gonna try
Gonna hop up on this vessel
And just enjoy the ride
Such a radical endeavor
It’s tubular alright.
And tubular’s my life

They always ask
“Who is the artist behind that mask?
The one who effortlessly pours out her heart
Yet parts to hide behind her avatar”
And as tired as the question may be
You never attempt to satisfy the answer completely
Keeping it vague
To hold that piece of identity
Since you hang your heart in each piece they read
But the truth is you’re afraid
Afraid to show them who you are
You don’t want your image to define your art
Or give them reason to assume any bias in your heart
You rather the words be everything you are
Honest, true, and open to interpret
A view of the world through everyone’s heart
But you can’t stomach the thought of being discredited
Because of who you are.
The color of your flesh, the religion you chose
All that you believe in
Could tear your work apart
So until the fear subsides
You’ll throw on your mask
And continue to hide
Behind your Avatar
Generational gifts
Gathered from across the sands,
Oh the stories they’d tell
From each change in hands
These wonderful treasures
From under the sea
Brings life to a woman
Passed down to she
What once was a girl
So young and reckless
Branded the keeper of secrets
In her new pearl necklace
