Welcome to Utopia
A paradise if you please.
Where people smile just to smile
No agendas underneath.
I was just about to take a walk
And maybe hang out by the beach.
Look out to the sea of opportunity,
Would you care to join me?
Come, we can take the long way
And walk at our own speed.
For there’s much I’d like to show you,
Just so much for you to see
Like the candy coated mountains
And spirited bearing trees,
Or the diamond studded sand
That glistens beneath your feet.
Oh, don’t mind the playful creatures
Who roam just as free as thee.
Understanding the circle of life
We coincide in harmony.
You will find it rather peaceful
Despite all the festive happenings.
A strong sense of peace in the way
Imagination runs rampant in the breeze.
And you don’t need to worry yourself
With trivial political affiliations.
We’ve done away with Kings and Queens
While Love governs our city
Honestly, I think you’ll find it fitting
For you’ll find whatever you may need,
To mold yourself to comfort
And be whoever you want to be.
I’ll arrange a flat if you choose to stay
How about right here on the beach?
And begin construction of that home
You conjure when you sleep.
It would be our pleasure
No trouble as far as I could see.
Because, after all,
This place was built on dreams
