Easier said, than done
Retreat like the rest, run… I came
As you left, just the same.
And there’s no one to blame, but me
And who I’ve yet to be.
I just wish you could see, I’ve tried.
To tame the beast inside,
But a piece of my pride estranged
And made it hard to change.
Leaving you now shortchanged, I know.
But where was it to go?
Love for you overflowed in vain,
Because you left again.
Though memories remain, we’re done.
