I remember when I was lost
Caught in between Dreams
When the cancer was creeping
Just as threatening as a scorpions sting.
When the soldiers raised their riffles
And moved toward the horizon.
The generated smiles
From the voice that whispered to me.
I had grown stronger,
No longer fear my dreams
Still gaze at the photo,
Perhaps we are all looking for beauty.
My tears came more easily, and with them, acceptance
For I have learned faith, hope, and love
In a world gone crazy.
