Fire guides her path ahead,
Ice freezes her past unsaid.
The confidence she holds pushes her on
But the enemies of long ago still hold strong.
They try to cloud her mind with emptiness,
To take away her hope of the future,
And break the content of her confidence.
Enemies of the past unfreeze with time.
The fire burns out
And they seek control of her mind.
The fight against her past has begun.
They hate her for who she is,
Even more for who she will become.
Young and successful,
Such a powerful mix.
Her past is suspenseful
And again won’t be missed,
But when it resurfaces,
She’ll face them and say
“Don’t hate me for being successful,
You made me this way”.

Actually my first attempt to write something on myself. It’s a few years old, but the fire is still burning. So I figure why not share.
